Rainbow Valley carpenter, Michelle Note, who recently completed Earth Advantage’s Work Force Training program was featured in the organization’s newsletter calling her a “passionate new voice in residential carpentry.” Earth Advantage is a non-profit organization “working to advance an informed and humane housing market” and increase the pipeline of professionals specializing in green construction practices. We’re proud to celebrate Dana Tessler stepping into the role of General Manager. Since joining the company in 1991, Dana has played an essential role in guiding our growth and keeping every part of our business running smoothly. Her steady leadership, attention to detail, and dedication to both people and process have shaped the culture that defines Rainbow Valley today. To better support our projects, Rainbow Valley has hired painter Travis Dooley to head up a new painting team. Born in Eugene, Travis has over 20 years of painting experience on both commercial and residential projects. The new painting team will complement the work done by our painting subcontractors and will give us greater control in scheduling and flexibility in project types we can take on. The Biederman/James, Dune City, and Dooley projects – along with Operations Manager Dean Lamoureux and Lead Designer Alec Dakers – were all featured in the summer issue of Eugene Magazine article Crafting Your Dreams: The Journey of Building a Custom Home, which outlines the process and gives advice on designing and building a new home. The Dooley project was also on the cover.

We’re thrilled to announce that Ali McQueen has become a partner! Since joining our Outdoor Spaces division in 2018, Ali has brought creativity, craft, and a deep appreciation for natural environments to every project she touches. Her thoughtful approach to design, paired with her leadership and collaboration, has helped shape countless outdoor living spaces. While last year was our 50^th Anniversary, there didn’t seem to be any good way to celebrate the milestone. However, we are very thankful to all the wonderful clients we have had the pleasure to work with these past 50 years, and we are hopeful that this year we can have a big celebration to show our appreciation.

This story, featured in the Register-Guard’s Home & Garden section, tells how we completely transformed a kitchen from frustrating space to a baker and chef’s paradise.
