Longtin Covered Patio
The clients love to unwind and spend time outdoors, but wanted to feel more protected from the elements and screened from neighbors. Additionally, they and their extended family love to gather around a roaring fire for any and all occasions. The resulting design features an over-sized solid wood structure with custom steel brackets. The centerpiece is the large stone fireplace with a custom steel firebox, capable of handling large logs. The rustic, chunky mantle is salvaged wood from a local vendor. A remote screen was installed on the west side of the structure to protect the clients from intense late afternoon and evening sun exposure.
