Stringer Remodel
A fire that destroyed most of their 3,500 square-foot home was the impetus for the Stringers to downsize for good. They purchased and completely remodeled a 1,600 square-foot condominium. They called Rainbow Valley to reinvigorate the dated condo, creating an open feel that supported their penchant for dinner parties and grilling with friends.
To accomplish the clients’ goals, we removed interior walls that separated the kitchen and dining/living room spaces to create an open great room. To make the most efficient use of space, we converted a cramped attic, accessed by dropdown ladder, into an upstairs office loft which overlooks the great room. An updated and expanded kitchen, remodeled primary and secondary bathroom, new windows, skylights, flooring, and fireplace all completed the condominium makeover. Now, the Stringers have a cozy home for two that is still spacious enough to host larger gatherings of friends and family.
