Lundblade Backyard
This retired couple wanted to create an inviting backyard with attractive views from the kitchen and music room. We redesigned the water feature and extended the patio to bring the experience of the water closer in. We used shrubs, small trees and landscape lighting to increase privacy and highlight views, designed a multi-level fountain to create layered waterfall sounds, and installed a stone path around the edge of the water to make tending the ponds easier. Local basalt was used for the waterfall, the path around the ponds is a mixture of local basalt and Iron Mountain flagstone, the patio is Iron Mountain flagstone surrounding pre-cast pavers, and plants are a mix of native and non-native species.
“We love our new space! On the outside, everything was so thoughtfully completed that you cannot tell that there was an addition at all! On the inside, attention to detail by the team resulted in a room that compliments the rest of our house and exceeds our expectations. We enjoyed working with everyone who was here.”
