Schmidt Kitchen and Laundry Room

The clients liked everything about their home except for the kitchen, a small “cave” stuck in a corner that seemed more like an afterthought. Since one of them is a serious cook, they not only wanted a beautiful space but one that would also be very functional. We started by rearranging the laundry room so we could get a little more space in the kitchen and then moved the refrigerator to make room for more counter and a new window. We replaced all the counters and cabinets, flooring and fixtures, added some nice appliances, including wall ovens and a Wolf range, and finished it all off with a custom wrought iron post to support the peninsula.

This article, featured in the Register-Guard, tells the story of a couple that loved their new home, with the exception of the small, dark kitchen. With our help, the kitchen is now their favorite room: functional, bright, and full of artistic details. Read the article here.
